CONSULTING

Load Handling Consulting

We assist companies from all sectors in the analysis and implementation of highly customized solutions dedicated to the complete management of load handling with a focus on integration between systems. It becomes essential for companies to turn to a reliable, competent and serious partner who focuses its attention as CO.MAS does on achieving the expected results.

TRAINING COURSES

crane operator training courses

In compliance with Article 71, paragraph 7, of Legislative Decree 81/08, the Employer must ensure that the use of overhead cranes, hoists and jib cranes is carried out by workers who have received training, information and instruction such that the equipment can be used properly and safely. CO.MAS periodically organizes inter-company courses at its headquarters aimed at crane operators and taught by accredited lecturers. Alternatively, and upon request, the same training service is conducted at the customer's premises. The learning module is highly interactive and involves theoretical and practical training with tests performed "in the field" with the aim of obtaining a certificate of qualification for the use of lifting equipment.

DESIGN

3D technology for technical drawings

Since 2007 we have been designing our plants by making use of 3D technology, using the SOLIDWORKS suite, which makes it possible to minimize the errors typical of traditional design and to carry out detailed structural examinations through FEM analysis, as well as simulations for the verification of interferences during the moving operation of systems and equipment related to load handling. Finally, the direct connection with the company's ERP system enables rapid procurement of materials and thus timely verification of production scheduling and loading, while meeting the delivery times required by the customer. CO.MAS has invested a lot of resources on digitization, in fact all the documentation related to the products we manufacture is available in a special area that can be consulted by the customer.

REVAMPING SYSTEMS

MODERNIZATION OF LIFTING FACILITIES

The degradation of an installation dedicated to the handling of loads can seriously endanger the safety of people and the safety of the environment below, as well as generate penalties that could be imposed by the inspection bodies, if solutions are not adopted to ensure the maintenance of safe conditions and the full efficiency of the equipment itself. Our technical team has the necessary skills for both the redesign and full recertification of installations, for which it may be economically advantageous to continue using the lifting equipment, in accordance with the conditions stipulated by the original manufacturer.

VERIFICATION OF THE REMAINING LIFE OF LIFTING EQUIPMENTS

Verification of the remaining life of lifting equipment

Extraordinary activity, dedicated to lifting equipment for which it is assumed that the life cycles originally intended by the manufacturer have been exhausted. Supplementary investigation is therefore an activity aimed at finding any flaws, defects or anomalies that may have occurred as a result of prolonged use of lifting equipment, and which are not easily identifiable with regular scheduled maintenance operations. In fact, there is a need to make spot checks that are outside the routine, in cases of particularly significant events that may affect the efficiency of the machines. These checks may have been originally planned by the manufacturer, generally after 10 years from the date of commissioning of the equipment, or they must be carried out 20 years after the machines have been placed on the market and allow the user to know whether the equipment examined is still capable of continuing to operate with the safety prescribed by the standards. The performance of the extraordinary inspections and supplementary investigation must be carried out in accordance with a specific procedure, the results of which must be summarized in a technical report with minimum contents (ISO 12482 item 9) and carried out by Expert Engineer (UNI ISO 9927-1), who takes responsibility for deciding what measures should be taken to ensure a further period of safe operation of the examined equipment.
